Deeko Dairy Ghee
Ghee is a form of highly-clarified butter that is traditionally used in Indian kitchens. Ghee is made by melting regular butter. The butter separates into liquid fats and milk solids. Once separated, the milk solids are removed, which means that ghee has less lactose than butter. Ghee has been used as cooking oil, an ingredient in dishes, and in Ayurveda therapies. Ghee is still used in Ayurvedic massage and as a base for herbal ointments to treat burns and rashes.

Ghee is good, but cow ghee is even better for health…….
Cow Ghee is produced from a fatty component that is sourced from cows. Over the years, ghee has become one of the most favoured fats for its range of health benefits. Moreover, ghee is packed with nutritions and enhances mental and physical well-being. Since time immemorial, it has been an integral part of a sattvic bhojan to annihilate side-effects of sicknesses from the body.
There are various ways to make ghee and traditional method of making ghee is called bilona. In this process, first Cow’s milk is boiled and cooled. Later a spoonful of curd is mixed in the milk properly and is kept overnight at room temperature. The curd is churned to extract butter from it. This butter that has been extracted is boiled till the water evaporates and leaves behind pure ghee.
The traditional method of setting curds is done in earthen pots. Churning during the bilona process is done with wooden made instrument called ravaiya in an earthen pot. Ghee mage in this way is pure bilona ghee.
Bilona ghee is much tastier, healthier and aromatic. It contains a higher amount of vitamins, antioxidants, omega-3 fatty acid DHA, omega 6 (CLA) and mono-saturated fatty acids (MUFA).
